【摘要】:Commerciallyavailablecomputermaterialmanagementprogramsarebeingusedregularlyintherubberindustry.Theseprogramstypicallywillretrieveinformationfromarawmaterialorcompoundingmaterialdatabasebychemicalname,CASregistrynumber,tradename,andsuppliername.Retrievinginformationbythesefieldscanpresentproblems.Thecommonchemicalnamesarenotstandardized.IUPACnomenclatureisstandardizedbutthenamestypicallyaretoolengthyforeasyretrieval.Also,theusermaynothaveinformationsuchastradename,suppliername,orCASregistrynumber.Analternatemethodofretrievinginformationfromarawmaterialorcompoundingmaterialdatabaseistosortbyclassification.Thishastheaddedadvantageofenablingacompoundertoselectacompoundingmaterialfromagivenclassificationforanewcompoundformulation.1.1Thisclassificationisintendedtoestablishamethodtofindcompoundingmaterialsonacomputerdatabasebybothfunctionalandchemicalclassification.Thisclassificationwillincluderubbercompoundingmaterialsoringredientsnormallyusedinformulatingrubbercompounds.Thisclassificationisnotintendedforuseinrubberlatexorsolventbasedrubberadhesiveapplications.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
