【摘要】:Thetransportofanyfilterablematterorcorrosionproductsfromthepreboilercyclehasbeenshowntobedetrimentaltoalltypesofsteamgeneratingequipment.Corrosionproducttransportaslowas10ppbcanhavesignificantimpactonsteamgeneratorsperformance.DepositedcorrosionproductsonPWRsteamgeneratortubescanreduceheattransfer,and,ifthedepositissufficientlythick,canprovidealocalareaforimpuritiesinthebulkwatertoconcentrate,resultinginacorrosiveenvironment.InBWRplants,thetransportofcorrosionproductscancausefuelfailure,outofcoreradiationproblemsfromactivationreactions,andothermaterialrelatedproblems.Infossilplants,thetransportofcorrosionproductscanreduceheattransferintheboilersleadingtotubefailuresfromoverheating.Theremovalofthesecorrosionproductsbychemicalcleaningisexpensiveandpotentiallyharmfultotheboilertubes.Normally,grabsamplesarenotsensitiveenoughtodetectchangesinthelevelofcorrosionproducttransport.Also,systemtransientsmaybemissedbyonlytakinggrabsamples.Anintegratedsampleovertimewillincreasethesensitivityfordetectingthecorrosionproductsandprovideabetterunderstandingofthetotalcorrosionproducttransporttosteamgenerators.1.1Thispracticeisapplicableforsamplingcondensedsteamorwater,suchasboilerfeedwater,forthecollectionoffilterableand(optional)nonfilterablematterusing0.45-mmembranefilter(filterablematter)andionexchangemedia(nonfilterablematter).Asthemajorfilterablecontainmentfoundinmostboilerfeedwatersissomeformofcorrosionproductfromthepreboilersystem,thedeviceusedforthispracticeiscommonlycalledacorrosionproductsampler.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
